About Wyoming Valley Country Club

The Wyoming Valley Country Club, located minutes from downtown Wilkes-Barre was officially chartered on June 16, 1896 and is the fifth oldest golf club in Pennsylvania and forty-fifth in the United States. The original course was nine-holes, which was replaced by the current course, designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened for play in 1925.

Although most of the holes have been lengthened, trees have been planted, and ponds added or enlarged over the years, the course is true to the Tillinghast original. Narrow, undulating fairways and small, sloping greens more than make up for Wyoming Valley's lack of overall length.

In addition to our challenging golf course, the Wyoming Valley Country Club offers several dining rooms, most of which come complete with a beautiful view of the golf course. It is a great place to hold social gatherings including weddings, religious celebrations, business meetings, and more for both members and non-members. We are proud of our history and look forward to many more years of providing a top-notch facility for golf and social activities for our members and guests.
